Making a Pure character can be quite complicated as you must stay clear of gaining levels in certain abilities at all costs. It includes always checking which kind of combat style you're employing. In other words, by using an Accurate the style of combat, you receive knowledge in Attack in Hitpoints and Attack.
The aggressive style adds points in Strength and Hitpoints and defensive in Hitpoints and Defence. The controlled style adds points across all of these at the same time. As it is evident, selecting the wrong type of combat could lead to the lowering of unneeded capability and, as a result ruining the Pure aspect of the account.
Another danger to the pureness of accounts is found in the quest rewards. If you want to be pures will have to be extra attentive to what they receive at the end of NPC missions. Quests tend to give high reward for experience in some of the abilities, therefore they're very beneficial to level up, but they could also spell doom for an Pure player. Those who have chosen to only level certain traits should pay attentively to the rewards they might receive at the end of the mission.
One Defence accounts are possibly the most popular of all Pure characters. They were designed to be effective in Player vs. Combat between players. Because defence skills aren't so important in PvP, as it is in PvE, players typically skip leveling it, leaving it at the very first level. By doing so, they'll achieve a low Combat level while maintaining an impressive damage output. The players who are looking to challenge their abilities typically will not get massive hits from a low-level opponent.
Although the process of creating One Defence Pure is very time-consuming and can be difficult, it benefits players in PvP. Most players who go this route make use of their Pures solely for player killing purposes and is not intended for playtime since having only one Defence and the low levels of Prayer, eliminate their ability to play high-level PvM content.
